Jobs You Never Even Thought Of, I Betcha
Posted on Tuesday, October 13th, 2009 at 11:30 amI thought you all would be interested to know that somewhere in Tulsa, OK, there lives a Skunk Whisperer. His name is Ned Bruha, which to me seems the perfect name for someone who soothes the skunky psyche.
(Also, I imagine that when he successfully wins over his skunk, he rubs his gloved hands together—no one wants to get sprayed—and laughs maniacally, “Bruhahahahahahaaaa.”)
But watch this video. It will disprove everything you thought you knew, you judgmental urbanite, about skunks, whispering, and people from Oklahoma.
Also … open your mind to the job opps! Surely there is a need for a rat whisperer in these parts. Imagine how Ned Bruha first found he was good with skunks. Perhaps he really related to Pepe le Pew. Or maybe he was raised by skunks in the wild.
Regardless of the whys, he made it his business. (Read his actual story here.)
Flash forward to today, when “The Skunk Whisperer®, Inc., has become known as a pioneer in unique, truly humane nuisance wildlife management methods, and is often featured in the news recently receiving international attention.”
Guys, that could happen to any of us, if we put our minds to it. Skunk whispering, competitive eating, Rubik’s Cube solving … find what you are good at, what you love, and do it.
And if you’re wildlife, stay away from the Skippy. That stuff isn’t even organic.
PS: Regarding the newsman’s voice … does anyone else think it might be better used for telling bedtime stories?
Man, Okies are nice!
