Canadian expat Andrea Lane spills her fashion secrets to YUD Fashion Director Lindsey Hunter Lopez. All eyes are on Andrea during a dinner at New York’s Fig & Olive.
LHL: What’s your favorite part of your outfit?
AL: I love that my green top is slouchy … slouchy items give you more versatility in what you can pair with them (i.e. leggings, skirt, jeans). You can also play around with what you wear underneath since they are fairly open at the sides. I normally wear an American Apparel bodysuit under shirts and dresses like these but Urban Outfitters has a great lace bodysuit that would make the outfit stand out.
LHL: Where do you shop when you’re trying to be thrifty?
AL: I loathe and love Forever 21. I am always surprised by some of the things that come out of that store. But it’s great for basic slouchy tanks, and I find a lot of cuffs there. The good jewelry sells quickly and isn’t often restocked, so go often and no one will know it’s from Forever 21!

It’s all perfectly wondrous and cheap, but for one thing.
