Today has been one of those difficult-to-focus types of days. I have a million little things to do and follow up on, and so I flit from item to item on my list and don’t accomplish much of anything, except thinking about everything a little, and that’s a kind of progress, no?
While washing a portion of my dishes, I noted that this is, in fact, one of the strange benefits of being unemployed/working from home.

This week has been a red-letter week of sorts, at least in my book. Allow me to tell you why.
1. I bought a new shower curtain. Finally. And it’s pretty darn cute. Not to mention, my old one was hella moldy. Here’s a pic.

Those of you who don’t reside in New York City don’t know the joy of watching Pat Kiernan from NY1 in the morning. See, some New Yorkers are so very busy and important that they need to have the news read to them as opposed to reading it for themselves. Time is money, after all!
Pat provides this service with a sardonic demeanor that pairs exceedingly well with the first coffee of the morning, and even though I am not one of those busy and super-duper-important business ladies, I tune in anyway. Unless I don’t get up until 10.
